A women-led model for refugee and asylum-seeking women’s recovery, resilience and re-integration.
Working towards a brighter tomorrow with women displaced by violence, conflict and persecution.

To offer a holistic protection and empowerment model for women who are at risk and survivors of gender-based violence (GBV) in a women-only safe space – the first of its kind in Greece.

Refugee and asylum-seeking women are empowered with skills, knowledge and networks to become independent agents of change, and have access to, and control over, income and resources

GBV survivors and women at risk have access to holistic GBV response services to heal from trauma and be safe from further harm

Increase sense of community and foster trust between the Greek community and refugee and asylum-seeking women, and promote and support women-led models of reintegration

The Pomegranate Project was born from the concept of seeding women’s individual and collective power and potential.

The Pomegranate Project is the first holistic programme in Greece, run with and for refugee women at risk, or survivors, of gender based violence. We offer a holistic protection and empowerment model to enable recovery and healing, and meaningful integration into Greek society.
