Selina graduated from the University of Zürich with a Masters of Law with a focus on Human Rights. During her studies, she was volunteering with the legal aid organisation of the University of Zurich (ReBeKo), advising students who were facing legal difficulties.
Selina has worked at the Swiss Coordination Unit against the Trafficking in Persons and Smuggling of Migrants and is a fierce advocate against human trafficking – a grave problem that often comes along with the smuggling of human beings and migration in general. She supports the AfW team with her legal knowledge, particularly in the field of human trafficking. Selina is also passionate about enabling asylum seekers and refugees to fully exercise their rights throughout and after the asylum proceedure.
Selina’s history for volunteering dates back to 2009, when she was working in Thailand for three month as an English teacher and in an environmental project. Selina lives in Zurich and spends the summer months with outdoor yoga, swimming in the lake and swing dancing under the Viadukt’s arches.
